The Back to School Picnic is a great opportunity for families to get together at the beginning of the school year to socialize. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic style dinner, a lawn chair and blanket.
Students and their families are encouraged to come to school and play games that promote math skills.
The Harvest Dinner is a fundraiser for the Home and School club and also a fun night for the families and staff to socialize.
This activity is sponsored by our teachers. Students and their families are encouraged to come to school for read-alouds and reading games set up around campus.
The Fall Walk-a-thon is held at school during the kids PE time. This is a fundraiser for the HSC but also encourages healthy activity for the kids and is a fun event.
Several times a year kids are encouraged to stay after school to socialize and watch movies with their friends in the cafeteria. Food and drinks are sold.
Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is the biggest HSC fundraiser for the year and also a very fun community event. Activities include, BBQ, jumpy houses, arts and crafts, cake walk, carnival games and silent auction.
Two of our teachers work with our students who are interested in singing in the Choir. About 40 students come to school early two days a week to prepare for our semi annual choir performances.
Two times a year, the Home and School Club sponsors book fairs with Scholastic Books in the Media Center. These fun displays of books allow students and families to purchase books at a discounted price.
The Art & Clay Shows are presented by the Art Vistas & Create with Clay volunteers and features the student's art and clay work from the year. This event has been combined with the Spring Festival so parents can browse their children's art projects at the event.
